My Family: Part 1-My Siblings

My Family
My family
MY family
What can one even say about family? I know this sounds cliche, but you can't live with them, you can't live without them.

I absolutely love my family. Things they do drive me insane. Of course. :) But I can't imagine growing up with anyone else. To start things off a bit here in my little blog, I'll introduce you to them. We'll start off with my siblings. :)

First off--the youngest of the bunch--is Hans. Carlsson Oberhansly. OberHANSly. Hanster. (: I love this boy. I've always loved him, but until just recently, I really didn't talk to him. I didn't get him. I didn't know him. I avoided Hans at nearly any cost. And really, I missed out on a lot by doing so. This kid is a genius. He is so extremely creative; He is constantly writing a new story, creating a new species of Bionicle, building insane LEGO creations... I enjoy being around his constant flow of energy and enthusiasm. He is also a sweetheart, and has taught me a lot of lessons lately. For example, today I put some things in his room that were his, but were ready to be recycled. I told him that I thought it was his responsibility to recycle them, and he got angry with me for putting them in his clean room and messing it up. About 15 minutes later, he came downstairs and apologized for over reacting, and then offered to help me sweep the kitchen floor. He is also ever-willing to take Champ(our doggy) on walks with me and loves playing with our two kittens. Hans is a true example to me of passion as well as one of constantly striving to be better.

Next comes Ralph. Ralph is probably my best friend. He and I are the two middle children, and we middle children have to stick together. :) Ralph is a little stud. He is always (almost) willing to go out on a run with me, yell at me when I need to do more push-ups, or help me find new exercise ideas. In addition to that, he is my most consistent "Glee" watching buddy and swing dancing partner. :) Ralph is a talented soccer player, an incredible student, (It seems like he has been the top of EVERY class he has ever taken) as well as an accomplished trumpet player. As a 7th grader, he was first chair trumpet in his band class, beating out several older, more experienced kids. Ralph also has a sweeter, softer side, though. He is adorable with children and will play patiently with them for hours. He is cautious and careful and loving when handling our pets and is I great young man. :) I love his competitiveness along with his sensitivity.

Liesl is my big sister. She is 17, and at times we completely clash. We may be as different as is humanly possible. ;) She is short and brunette, while I'm above average height and blonde. She is a neat freak with a spartan like bedroom while I can barely keep my schedule straight for an hour and my bedroom is a mess. I like softball, she likes cooking. But I don't know if she knows how much I appreciate many things about her. Liesl is a talented organizer; a skill I completely lack. She gets things done and is dependable. If Liesl wants to do something, it'll get done. Liesl is a loyal friend. EVERY SINGLE TIME one of her friends has a birthday, she is right there with a cake or cookies or whatever their favorite goody is and has it made and ready for them. For her friends' IB tests, she made them these adorable little gift can thingies. She puts a lot of thought into that kind of thing, and I revere her for it. She is a daredevil. While is took me
forever to try a rollercoaster, it seems she liked them from day one! She is always willing to try a new craft, a new recipe, anything new. Liesl is also one of the smartest people I know. She is very quick, she'd be super good at a game show! She loves to learn and revels in new scientific discoveries and discussions. She is an voracious reader and is wonderful in helping me understand text I would have otherwise not been able to comprehend nearly as well. She is a wonderful sister and young woman, and I feel confident that through her organization and love for knowledge, she will go far in whatever path she chooses. :)

I love my siblings. :)

Though I'm fairly certain no one cares about the silly life of an inconsequential teenager, I've decided to start a blog. Not to entertain the world, really, but more to entertain myself when, 20 years from now, I choose to reread the start of this silly blog.
If anyone chooses to read this, though, I suppose I should give them a little bit of background concerning myself.
  • I am 15 and 2/3 years old
  • I was born in Annapolis, Maryland
  • On September 13, 1995
  • I love to sing
  • I wish I could dance
  • But I really can't
  • I'm blonde
  • But maybe one of the smarter blondes you'll meet
  • I am going into my Junior year
  • Class of 2013!
  • I love History, Biology, and English
  • I strongly dislike Chemistry, Math and other boring classes
  • But I'm actually pretty good at Math
  • I actually think my parents are pretty cool (:
  • I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
So, those are the basics. Not super amazing or anything, but me.
